Welcome to Tucson’s Bike Fest homepage. Bike Fest is Tucson's annual celebration of bicycling and features dozens of events that Tucsonan's can enjoy.  Bike Fest 2011 is presented by the Living Streets Alliance with help from the City of Tucson, Pima County and Pima Association of Governments.  LSA is a new non-profit advocacy group.  One of their core goals is to improve access to bicycling.  The events for Bike Fest 2011 are started to come together.  Listed below is a sample of what is happening this spring in Tucson.  Take a look at our list of events to see what's happening during Bike Fest 2011.

Bike 2 Work Week - April 4-8

Bike 2 Work Week is our chance to thank existing bike commuters and encourage first-time riders to leave their car behind and celebrate biking to work. The week will feature free breakfast stations, free bike tune-ups, raffles, giveaways. This year local businesses will be hosting Bike 2 Work stations throughout the Tucson Area. Friday, April 8, will feature a downtown Bike 2 Work Celebration.  Click on the Bike 2 Work link to find out how your business can get involved and host a Bike 2 Work Station.


Cyclovia Tucson - March 27, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Come out and enjoy the second annual Cyclovia Tucson. A Cyc˙lo˙via (siI kle‘ via) n. is a Spanish word meaning temporary closure of a network of streets to cars, and open the streets to the people who bike, walk, skate and participate in fun, free activities. Bike Commuter Challenge


The Bike Commuter Challenge is back. Win cool gear, gift certificates, and prizes while reaching your health, sustainability, and savings goals by biking to work. Encourage your coworkers and get a workplace team together, sign-up, and start logging your commutes. The Challenge begins April 1st and ends April 30th. Now get pedaling!

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE:

Wearing your helmet while riding is ENCOURAGED.

Children under the age of 18 who participate in BikeFest events MUST wear a helmet by law. Additionally, front lights and a rear red reflector ARE REQUIRED by law for riding at night. If you want a refresher on riding with traffic, sign up for one of our famous bike classes.
