Environmental Accords/Green Cities Declaration and Sustainability Committee (EA/GCDSC)

Description:
Facilitate and monitor the City's progress on the Environmental Accords/Green Cities Declaration and the Kyoto Treaty and advise Mayor and Council on ways to best meet the goals set out in those documents. The EA/GCDSC shall from time to time report to the Mayor and Council regarding its recommendations on the methods to achieve these goals.

Maximum Number of Members: 17

Meeting Location:
Will specify on meeting notice.

Meeting Time: Meets as required.

Membership Requirements:
The Mayor and Council shall appoint members from recommendations made by the entities listed below. One member shall be selected from each of the following entities:

(1) Alliance of Construction Trades
(2) American Rainwater Catchment System Association
(3) Center for Biological Diversity
(4) Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection
(5) Development Center for Appropriate Technology
(6) Environmental Education Exchange
(7) Environment Justice Action Group
(8) Natural Systems Solutions
(9) Neighborhood Infill Coalition
(10) Sonoran Institute
(11) Southern Arizona Home Builders Association
(12) The Nature Conservancy of Arizona
(13) The Solar Institute
(14) Tucson Audubon Society
(15) Tucson Underground Contractors Association
(16) Tucson-Pima County Metropolitan Energy Commission (provided that the member from this Commission cannot be a City appointee to the Energy Commission)
(17) The Sierra Club
