This is an appeal of a decision of the Sign Code Advisory and Appeals Board to deny a variance for the placement of one 54.7 square foot, 8'6" high Low Profile sign, setback 13 feet from the curb to the leading edge of the sign. Specifically, the applicant requested a variance to (1) exceed the maximum height of a Low Profile sign by 6 inches and (2) a setback variance of three (3) feet (from 16' to 13') from the curb to the leading edge of the sign; OR a variance to (1) exceed the maximum height of a Low Profile sign with a 13 foot setback from the curb to the leading edge of a sign by 2 feet, and (2) to exceed the overall maximum height of a Low Profile sign by 6 inches.

The City Manager recommends that the Mayor and Council adopt Ordinance No. 9009 establishing original City zoning, extending the Scenic Route designation for Old Spanish Trail, and extending the Environmental Resource Zone, Hillside Development Zone and Watercourse Amenities, Safety and Habitat Ordinance, within the annexation district.
