Tucson selected as the fourth best U.S. “digital city” of those with populations of 250,000 or more.

In the 2009 Digital Cities Survey, Tucson ranked fourth on the list of most technologically-advanced cities.  The annual study examines how city governments utilize digital technologies to better serve their citizens and streamline operations.

The Digital Cities Survey examines online municipal information and services available to citizens.  The City of Tucson’s web site www.tucsonaz.gov has current information about City events and projects.

Earlier this month, the City’s website launched a new look. This is the first step of a restructuring that will continue well into next year. Several new features have been added, including “Top Requested Pages” and “How Do I?”

“We want to continue to improve our e-government services and make the City's site more attractive, better organized, easier to navigate, and more useful to citizens,” said Ann Strine, Chief Information Officer and IT Director.
