The Human Resources Department provides direct service and policy direction to all city departments, 5000 employees and 3200 retirees in accordance with the policies and programs of the Mayor and Council, Civil Service Commission and the City Manager. The department is comprised of a diverse cross section of clerical and professional staff and prides itself in providing services in:
