The City of Tucson offers many recreational and cultural programs, activities, and services to people of all ages. Community services include more than 128 parks, 27 swimming pools (including 5 year-round pools), 5 municipal golf courses, 19 recreation centers, the Reid Park Zoo, 3 tennis centers, senior facilities at the Armory Park Senior Center, Udall Senior Addition and El Pueblo Senior Center, 3 urban fishing program lakes, and the Therapeutic Recreation Center and Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center for persons with disabilities.

Call or visit Parks Administration or any Parks District office for field or volleyball court reservations within the next 30 days. Call the Sports Office at 791-4560 for reservations beyond the next 30 days.
BEER PERMITS (520) 791-4873
Beer consumption is permitted in City parks with a permit. Beer permits may be purchased at Parks and Recreation Administration, 900 S. Randolph Way, or any Parks and Recreation District Office. Cost for City residents: daily rate - $25 per 100 people; cost for non-City residents $30 per 100 people; special events (over 100 people per day) - $90 (resident)/$115 (non-resident) per day. No glass containers are allowed in City Parks. The beer permit is NOT an authorization to sell beer.

Each summer Parks and Recreation offers children's swim lessons at various pool locations. EZEE Registration, either online at ezeereg.com or by phone at 573-3933, is recommended.

A discount program enables low-income participants to pay a discounted fee. Discounts apply only to KIDCO, clubs, Learn-to-Swim and Center/Swim quarterly/annual passes. One must be a city resident to apply.

Three Tucson Parks and Recreation lake sites are designated as Urban Fishing Program locations -- Kennedy Park Lake, Lakeside Park Lake, and Silverbell Lake in Christopher Columbus Park. An Urban Fishing License is required for persons 14 years of age or older. Licenses are issued by the Arizona Game and Fish Department and are sold at most sporting goods stores.

KIDCO, for ages 5-11, is a popular after-school and summer recreation program offered through Tucson Parks and Recreation at many school and recreation center locations.
