    The Planning and Development Services Department oversees Rezoning/Special Exceptions, Plan Amendments/Planned Area Development and Review, Land Use Code Simplification Amendment, Neighborhood Preservation Zone, Planning Commission Support, and Area and Neighborhood Plans/Plan Amendments.
     
    Other services include permitting, records management, and inspections for new construction, remodeling, and signage.
     
    Specialists review plans and ensure compliance with standards of adopted building codes within the city. Inspectors ensure that work is performed to protect safety, welfare, and health standards through the regulation of construction, quality of materials, occupancy of structures, and signage within city limits.
