Through the Rooftop Solar Challenge, we are working to make rooftop solar permitting easier for local governments, faster for solar installers, and less expensive for residents. Learn about options for electronic permits and a substitute for electrical drawings through local case studies and resources. We also introduce the Solar Friendly Communities project, an incentive program being developed to encourage municipalities to take down barriers to solar permitting and inspections.
