Oury Recreation Center is located in the historic Barrio Anita neighborhood. It dates back to the 1930s when it was the site of many softball leagues.
Oury Recreation Center lies in the heart of the David G. Herrera/Ramon Quiroz Park. The park is named after David Herrera and Ramon Quiroz. The two gentlemen were former coordinators at Oury Center and made a big impact on the lives of youth in the Barrio Anita Neighborhood.
