Whether you're a teen, adult, or senior you can make a difference in your community! The City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department welcomes volunteers, age 13 and older, in our programs.
(13-17 year olds) - Placement for teens includes Youth and Teen programs, City pools, and some offices. One of the goals of the Jr. Leadership Volunteer Program is to provide hands-on pre-employment training to help bring better-trained entry-level employees to the City's programs. The Jr. Leader’s schedule is determined by the site and the program needs of the Parks and Recreation Department. Jr. Leaders must attend a scheduled orientation session to be eligible to be placed as a Jr. Leader. Every effort is made to place teens at their requested location, but this is not always possible.
Current information about the Jr. Leadership Volunteer Program can be found in the Program Guide & Class Catalog.
The Jr. Leadership Volunteer Program is a free program to City residents and $25.00 for non-residents.
