Effective February 8, 2010, fees charged by the Planning and Development Services Department were increased per Ordinance No. 10747, adopted by Mayor and Council on January 5, 2010. All permits will be assessed a $16.50 archive fee.
Beginning June 1, 2010, all new one- and two-family dwellings are required to have gray water stub-outs for laundry drains. In addition, new single-family dwellings will be required to have separated drain lines for lavatories, showers, and bathtubs to allow for future installation of distributed gray water systems.

The Planning and Development Service Department has updated the minimum requirements for swimming pool plans. Including these items on the site plan along with the pool barrier information will support a complete and timely plan review and field inspection.

On June 17, 2008, Mayor and Council unanimously voted to require all new residences to be solar ready for electric (PV) and hot water. All new single family homes or duplexes must include in the plans either a Photo Voltaic system or preparation for later installation of a PV system in order to receive a building permit.
