PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT- Red Means Stop
The Tucson Police Department’s Traffic Enforcement Division has, in cooperation with Channel 12, produced a Public Service Announcement geared toward educating the public in regards to intersections. In relation to our Traffic Safety Camera Program and routine patrol enforcement, it has become apparent that there are those who do not understand or are unsure what portion of the roadway legally constitutes an intersection. To summarize, per Arizona Revised Statutes, an intersection is the area within the prolongation of the lateral curb lines at the junction of two or more roadways.
