Biography

David Higuera joined the Ward 3 team in January 2012. His focus areas include transportation and transit, the local business community, workforce development, education, military and labor relations, the U of A, and the Miracle Mile/Oracle area.

Before joining Ward 3, David worked for eight years in communications and political organizing, working on candidate campaigns, issue campaigns and community-engagement processes.  Between 2007 and 2010, David worked with Council Member Uhlich and others to spearhead the statewide coalition Arizonans for Responsible Lending that put an end to triple-digit interest payday loans in Arizona.

David is married to Jesse Evans-Schroeder, an immigration attorney in Tucson, and they are the proud parents of Elliot.
