Steve is 55 years old and has been married to his wife Ann for 31 years. They have one daughter, Kimberly. All 3 are University of Arizona graduates. Steve has a B.A. in Public Administration and an MED in Higher Education Management. Ann has a degree in Education and Kimberly has a Business Management Degree from the Eller College of Management.
Steve has worked for the UA since 1988 in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. He is the Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities and Project Management. He is responsible for overseeing project management from design through occupancy. Prior to that he worked in Industrial Relations for ASARCO and ran a small business (Long John Silver's) for a year.
Steve's interests include all forms of athletics, primarily long distance running and biking. Travel has been a passion, including trips to Africa (helped build a school for HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia), Sri Lanka (rebuilt homes after the tsunami), Israel, Egypt, China, Thailand and more.
