Will we have enough water for the future?
Here in the desert, water is our most precious resource. Because it is so important, Tucson Water has begun Long Range Water Resource Planning — looking at our water needs in the coming decades to determine whether we'll have enough water to sustain our community and quality of life.
Our professionals at Tucson Water bring together decades of expertise in water resource management, water quality, water system planning and development, engineering and water operations. They have developed a number of sophisticated computer tools to help them examine and plan for the water supply, water cost, and water quality issues facing us between today and 2050.
In the coming months, we'll be discussing our findings with you, our customers, so that together we can make the critical decisions that will determine our water future. As you read, hear, and see information about our Long Range Water Plan, I hope that you will let us know if you have any questions or concerns that we're not addressing. Just email us using the "Contact Us" address on the right of this page, or call us at 791-4331. With careful planning, and your participation, we can prepare for our future and help ensure that we have enough, quality water for our children and their families in the years ahead.
