Radon Information

The following article has been reprinted from Opflow, Vol. 22, No. 2 (February 1996), by permission (Copyright © 1996, American Water Works Association).

Tucson Water has recently collected more than 500 water samples to measure the concentrations of radon throughout the water system. The results of this effort are summarized in the City Manager's September 27, 1999, memo to the Mayor and City Council, and detailed in the attachments.

Listed below are the maps and attachments referred to in the City Manager's memo. The large format maps mentioned in the memo are approximately 35 Megabytes each in size. In order to minimize download times, they have been converted to PDF files of 2 Mb sizes. Each of these maps is 59.21 inches wide by 37.625 inches high, so you will need to zoom in and/or out as well as scroll horizontally and/or vertically in order to view recognizable features.
