Tucson's Water Quality

The quality of the water delivered through Tucson Water's drinking water distribution system is provided through a series of maps, charts, and tables. The objective is to provide water quality information on a "system level" — this is a broad view of water quality trends, historical water quality conditions, and current information about the water characteristics important to Tucson Water customers. For more localized information on water quality, see the Water Quality In My Neighborhood pages.

The map, as initially shown, shows each of Tucson Water's 17 different Water Quality Zones. Using the navigation buttons in the upper left of the web page, the viewer can zoom in, zoom out, and pan to access a particular area. As the viewer zooms in, addition map information and details are displayed.

Additionally, each of Tucson Water's 22 EMPACT sampling points are shown as green dots. By clicking on the "Info" button in the upper left of the web page and then clicking on one of the EMPACT sampling points, information on Chlorine, pH, Temperature, and Total Dissolved Solids is presented to the viewer in a new window; this means that if you have pop-ups disabled, you will need to temporarily re-enable them to view this information.

To see trends in water quality throughout the distribution system, select any of the water quality parameter buttons on the left side of the map. For historical trend charts of the selected water quality parameter, just click a particular Water Quality Zone of interest to you.
