Boards & Commissions
BCC's are beginning to meet again. Until further notice and direction from the City Manager's Office, all meetings are to be conducted remotely through technological means (i.e., Microsoft Teams). Members of the public may listen in on the meetings from a computer, tablet or phone. To access the meeting, go to the agenda for the meeting you are interested in, and click on the meeting link. See screenshot below for example of login instructions if BCC is using Microsoft Teams:

Small, Minority, and Women-Owned Business Commission (SMWBC)
2) Description
1) Monitors effectiveness of the City's SMWBE Program; 2) Monitors local practices and policies which may have discriminatory impact on minority and women-owned businesses; 3) Facilitates communication between the City and small businesses; 4) Evaluates City policies and regulations for their impact on small businesses; 5) Sponsors and conducts educational forums, hearings and workshops; 6) Recommends to Mayor and Council alternative measures or legislation; 7) Requests from any City department information/assistance; 8) Assumes and undertakes other tasks/duties at the discretion and express direction of Mayor and Council.
