Following updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the City of Tucson recently re-instituted its mask policy for people in City buildings, including those who are fully vaccinated. This applies to all buildings, including Parks and Recreation facilities.
Masks will be available at the entrances of city buildings for those who need one. City leadership will continue to closely monitor the situation and make any adjustments as needed. This mask action is specific to City-owned facilities and does not apply to private businesses or establishments, who continue to have the ability to require masks on their premises if they choose to do so.
In addition, Tucson Mayor Regina Romero strongly urges anyone who has not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine to get vaccinated.
