The second annual Sustainable Landscapes Expo is a free, family-friendly event that features more than 30 exhibits to increase knowledge on efficient water usage and sustainable landscaping in the Southern Arizona desert. The expo is March 23, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 4210 N. Campbell Ave.
To encourage gardening sustainability, exhibitors will host hands-on and interactive activities for adults and kids, including native plant propagation techniques, demonstrations of drip irrigation, creating a wildlife-friendly landscape, heat-proofing a garden, and more.
The event also features food trucks, a free raffle for items and services, magic shows, flash talks, and live music.
The 2019 Sustainable Landscapes Expo is hosted by Pima Smartscape, Tucson Water, and the University of Arizona College of Agriculture & Life Sciences – Cooperative Extension.
