Traffic Signal Improvements - Valencia Road and Midvale Park Road

TRAFFIC ALERT

On Thursday, March 2, 2023, crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to remove and install new signal mast arms and traffic signal heads at the Valencia Road and Midvale Park Road intersection. In addition, crews will convert the traffic signal heads to include flashing yellow arrows at the intersection.

Plan Tucson Community Workshops

 

The City of Tucson is updating Plan Tucson, the general plan adopted by Tucson voters in 2013. This update will result in a growth plan that reflects our community’s shared goals and diverse aspirations for the next 20 years. Plan Tucson contains goals and policies that cover a wide range of topics, including housing, water, transportation, parks, community safety, and much more.

Traffic Signal Work - Broadway and Aviation/Maclovio Barraza

On Monday, February 27, 2023, beginning at 7 a.m. crews are scheduled to convert the traffic signal heads at the intersection of Broadway and Aviation Parkway/Maclovio Barraza Parkway to include flashing yellow arrows.

During the work, the traffic signals will not be in operation. In addition, lane restrictions will be in place at the intersection for all travel directions. This work is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. the same day.

Traffic Alert - Pets of Pima Parade

EVENT ROAD CLOSURES
FOURTH AVENUE

On Sunday, February 19, 2023, beginning at 8 a.m., the following streets, with the exception of Sixth Street, will close to motorists for the Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade:

  • Fourth Avenue from University Boulevard to Eighth Street
  • Third Avenue from University Boulevard to Sixth Street

Fourth Avenue is scheduled to reopen by 1 p.m., the same day.

Traffic Alert - 22nd Street and Park Avenue

TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to remove and install new signal mast arms and traffic signal heads at the 22nd Street and Park Avenue intersection. In addition, crews will convert the traffic signal heads to include flashing yellow arrows at the intersection.

Paul's Note - February 10, 2023

The Environmental and General Services Department (EGSD), along with representatives from Housing & Community Development, Tucson Police Department and the Tucson Fire Department will be hosting an open house in each of the City’s six wards to present information about services available to residents and neighborhoods that support a clean community.

Traffic Signal Improvement - Prince Road and Campbell Avenue

TRAFFIC ALERT

On Thursday, February 9, 2023, crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to convert the traffic signal heads to include flashing yellow arrows at the Prince Road and Campbell Avenue intersection.

Work will take place from about 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the same day. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
