On Thursday, March 2, 2023, crews from Next Generation Electrical, under contract with the City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM), are scheduled to remove and install new signal mast arms and traffic signal heads at the Valencia Road and Midvale Park Road intersection. In addition, crews will convert the traffic signal heads to include flashing yellow arrows at the intersection.

On Monday, February 27, 2023, beginning at 7 a.m. crews are scheduled to convert the traffic signal heads at the intersection of Broadway and Aviation Parkway/Maclovio Barraza Parkway to include flashing yellow arrows.
During the work, the traffic signals will not be in operation. In addition, lane restrictions will be in place at the intersection for all travel directions. This work is scheduled to be completed by 5 p.m. the same day.

The Environmental and General Services Department (EGSD), along with representatives from Housing & Community Development, Tucson Police Department and the Tucson Fire Department will be hosting an open house in each of the City’s six wards to present information about services available to residents and neighborhoods that support a clean community.

Work will take place from about 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the same day. The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
