The next 2nd Saturdays Downtown takes place tomorrow, May 11. Events during the day include Tucson Train Day at the Southern Arizona Transportation Museum, Tucson Zine Fest at 191 Toole, and Family Brain Boost at the Children’s Museum Tucson.
TUCSON 2050: A Vision for a Water Independent Downtown, an exhibition by University of Arizona students, will be on display at 100 E. Congress St. from 5-8:30 p.m. Evening events include music from Austin Counts & Tom Walbank, Chalako, and Kevin Pakulis Band on the Scott Avenue stage and Top Rank Boxing at the Tucson Arena.
Some events are free, while others require tickets or admission fees. 2nd Saturdays Downtown is a community-oriented event hosted by businesses, artists, restaurants, and downtown enthusiasts. Street parking downtown is free on weekends. The Sun Link streetcar will be operating from 8 a.m. Saturday until 2 a.m. Sunday.
