Classically-trained violinist Lindsey Stirling from Gilbert will perform Wednesday night at 7:30 at the Tucson Music Hall. Her self-titled debut album features electronic beats and animation and has 12 original tracks, including the viral smash Crystallize, which has racked up more than 127 million YouTube views.
The album has sold more than 474,000 copies in the United States, without the backing of a major label, and has gone platinum in Germany and gold in Poland and Switzerland. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Chart and the Billboard Classical Album Chart and peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard Top 200. A motivational speaker in her spare time, Stirling encourages teenagers to have confidence in what makes them unique.
