Bicycle Boulevards Community Input Events Continue

The City of Tucson Transportation Department is planning five neighborhood traffic safety and bicycle boulevard projects. The Michigan/Fair, Cherry, Greenway, Bantam, and Alvord bicycle boulevard projects expand low-stress biking and walking networks citywide by creating calmer residential streets.

Community input events have been taking place to present information and receive input. The next session will be Friday, Dec. 13, 6-9 p.m., at the Cherry Avenue Recreation Center, 5085 S. Cherry Ave. The session, "Pancakes and Pajamas," features bike bingo, hot cocoa, and a screening of the movie "Elf."

These projects are part of the voter-approved Proposition 407 Tucson Delivers Parks and Connections program to fund improvements to parks and construction of new bicycle and pedestrian routes. For more information, contact Ryan Fagan at or (520) 837-6699.
