The City of Tucson Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD) is seeking a building inspector to research codes and regulations, complete and enter inspection reports, and maintain contact with contractors and builders for inspection requirements. This position may conduct site, residential, and/or commercial property inspections to ensure compliance with building safety codes.
Minimum qualifications include six months of post-high school education, and at least four years of inspecting commercial and residential properties for compliance with building codes and specifications or journeyman level experience in one of the building construction trades.
Applications must be received by Sept. 29. Oral board interviews will be held on Oct. 7.
