The City of Tucson is hiring an electrician to work in the Transportation department. An electrician maintains, repairs, inspects, and installs electrical street lighting and traffic signal equipment. Duties also include responding to situations in which traffic signal or streetlight equipment has been damaged.
The position requires being on traffic signal and streetlight 24-hour on-call/standby rotation rosters. Six months of post-high school education and at least four years of maintaining electrical equipment and control systems at the skilled journey level are required.
