City of Tucson Announces New Permitting System

The City of Tucson has selected Tyler Technologies' Energov permitting system to replace the more than 20-year-old Permits Plus program.

The current users of Permits Plus, the Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD), Tucson Department of Transportation (TDOT), Tucson Fire Department, and Environmental Service's Code Enforcement section will move to the new system, along with new users Tucson Water and Business Licenses.

Tyler Technologies, the selected software vendor, is the largest software company in the United States that is solely based on providing integrated software and technology services. The implementation of Tucson's new permitting system is estimated to take approximately 20 months to complete.
