The Pima County Health Department (PCHD) is hosting a second community stakeholder meeting to discuss proposed County ordinance changes regarding tobacco and electronic nicotine delivery systems. The next meeting is tomorrow, Sept. 10, 4-5 p.m., at Tucson City Hall, 255 W. Alameda St.
Proposed changes would raise the minimum legal age to purchase tobacco products from 18 to 21 years old, create a retail permit system for tobacco retailers in unincorporated Pima County, and amend language to the current smoking ordinance to include electronic nicotine delivery systems.
