The Fourth Avenue Spring Street Fair takes place tomorrow through Sunday, March 22-24, from 10 a.m. to dusk each day. This free, nearly-50-year-old tradition typically attracts more than 250,000 people.
Highlights include more than 400 arts and crafts booths, more than 35 food vendors, local entertainment on two stages, carnival food, face painting, balloons, and more. Proceeds generated from the event support Fourth Avenue infrastructure and services, surrounding neighborhood association enrichment projects, and multiple community nonprofits and special events.
Pets are not allowed at the street fair. Street parking is available around the event; however, all other regular parking rules apply.
Beginning Thursday at approximately 1 p.m., until approximately midnight Sunday, Fourth Avenue will be closed from University Boulevard south to Eighth Street, with the exception of Sixth Street. Fourth Street and Seventh Street will be closed between Third Avenue and Fifth Avenue. Fifth Street will be closed from Third Avenue to Herbert Avenue, and Eighth Street will be closed from Hoff Avenue to Fourth Avenue.
There will be a temporary route adjustment for the Sun Link streetcar. Sun Tran buses will be used to shuttle streetcar passengers from temporary end point stops at Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street and at University Boulevard and Third Avenue.
