The celebration begins tomorrow, June 15, at 10 a.m. at the pool. Free popsicles and refreshments will be provided at the event. The splash pad, which includes eight computer-controlled water features, was funded through City of Tucson impact fees and Ward 2 Service Line Warranty funds.
The pool renovations mark one of the first Tucson Delivers Parks + Connections Bond projects to be completed using voter-approved bond funds from the November 2018 election. The renovations included resurfacing of the pool and deck areas. Additional enhancements to the park that were not funded by bond dollars included new flooring and paint in the pool bathhouse and resurfacing of the parking lot.
