Ward 6 Tucson City Council Member Steve Kozachik is hosting an informational meeting this Thursday, Oct. 11, to discuss the Infill Incentive District (IID). The 5:30-6:30 p.m. public meeting will be held in the Ward 6 Community Room, 3202 E. 1st St.
The expiration date of the IID ordinance is Jan. 31, 2019. On or before that date, the Mayor and Tucson City Council must extend the sunset date, remove the date, or let the ordinance expire. At the public meeting, Planning and Development Services Department (PDSD) staff will give a presentation to help everyone understand the IID ordinance. There will be time set aside for questions and answers. Attendees can share their opinions, observations, and suggestions regarding proposed changes and improvements.
The feedback will help with PDSD staff’s assessment of the provisions of the ordinance and necessary improvements. The input received will be used in refining the suggestions that will be brought to Mayor and Council prior to the sunset date of the ordinance.
