Zoo Lights, presented by Tucson Electric Power, opens to the public this week. Sip hot chocolate as you stroll through thousands of twinkling lights and lighted animal displays that illuminate the grounds of Reid Park Zoo. There also will be falling snow in the winter wonderland, pictures with Santa, and live music on the weekends. S’mores, sweet treats, and food will be available for purchase.
Zoo Lights begins with a members-only night tonight, Dec. 5, and then the celebration opens to the public from Dec. 6-23, 6-8 p.m. After Christmas, there will be encore nights, Dec. 26-30, but Santa will not be at those evenings, having just returned to the North Pole.
