DOWNTOWN ROAD CLOSURES
On Saturday, December 17, 2022, beginning at 6 p.m., the following streets will close to motorists for the 28th Annual Downtown Parade of Lights:
- Sixth Avenue, from Broadway to 18th Street
- Ochoa Street/12th Street, from Stone Avenue to Fifth Avenue
- Stone Avenue, from Broadway to 18th Street
Additional side streets, including 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th Streets from Sixth Avenue to Fifth Avenue will close to accommodate staging for parade participants.
All roadways are scheduled to reopen by approximately 8:30 p.m., the same evening.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. on Stone Avenue at 17th Street then proceeds north, turns east on Ochoa Street/12th Street, turns south on Sixth Avenue, and ends on Sixth Avenue and 13th Street. For more information about the Downtown Parade of Lights, visit downtownparadeoflights.com.
Motorists driving in the area can expect traffic delays associated with this event, plan accordingly. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in this area. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.
