The Annual Downtown Parade of Lights will take place on Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Attendees of the parade are encouraged to arrive early in order to avoid traffic detours necessary for the event. Please note that pedestrian and bicycle access is being maintained in and around road closures. Businesses, parking garages and parking lots are open and accessible. The vehicular travel restrictions associated with this event are as follows:
Stone Avenue between Pennington Street and Alameda Street will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Saturday, December 15, for food truck set up.
Beginning at 10 a.m. until approximately 10 p.m. on the same day, Stone Avenue between Congress Street and Sixth Street, Scott Avenue between Congress Street and Pennington Street, Sixth Avenue between Congress Street and Sixth Street, Toole Avenue from Fifth Street to Sixth Avenue, and Seventh Avenue at Seventh Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. All streets should reopen by approximately 10 p.m.
Motorists driving in the downtown area may experience traffic delays associated with this event. The traveling public should use caution when driving, bicycling or walking in these areas. Please watch for event participants, obey all traffic control, and watch for detour signs and personnel providing traffic control.
