The public is invited to attend a public open house for Kolb Road: Connection to Sabino Canyon Road. This project is part of the $2.1 billion, 20-year Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) plan that was approved by voters in May 2006.

The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the contractor, provide information and answer questions regarding the project’s construction.
The improvements include a four-lane roadway with bike lanes and sidewalks extending Sabino Canyon Road south from its intersection with Tanque Verde Road to connect with Kolb Road approximately one-third mile north of Speedway Boulevard.
Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2015 and last approximately 15 months.

The project is part of the $2.1 billion RTA plan, which will be implemented through 2026. The multimodal plan, nearly halfway through implementation, includes roadway, safety, transit, environmental and economic vitality improvements. This project is managed by the City of Tucson.
