Sun Tran is once again partnering with HSL Properties and KGUN 9 News for the “Stuff-the-Bus” food drive, benefiting the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. The food drive will help restock items at the food bank that many families still rely on following the holidays.
You can help "Stuff-the-Bus" Friday, January 18, from 6 am to 6 pm at Dorado Golf Course, 6601 E Speedway Blvd (between Wilmot and Kolb). It's along Route 4 for those of you that want to ride the bus.
Sun Tran invites the whole community to bring non-perishable food items such as canned soups, boxed cereals, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, and canned meats such as tuna fish, chicken, and corned beef. Monetary donations are also accepted. Please refrain from donating items in glass jars, frozen turkeys, or items that have expired.
“Any donation, whether big or small, is significant in helping a family,” said Steve Spade, Sun Tran General Manager. “So we invite everyone to make a donation in any way they can.”
Sun Tran is proud to serve our community and partner with local organizations to make a positive difference in Tucson. Since 2001, more than 230,000 pounds of food and more than $150,000 in cash donations have been collected for local families.
