The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the southbound Interstate 19 off ramp at Valencia Road for nine hours starting at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28.
The ramp closure will be accompanied by the closure of the right lane of southbound I-19 for one mile approaching Valencia Road (Exit 95) and will allow ADOT crews to move temporary construction barrier that will protect workers from traffic while they construct a new right lane on the exit. The ramp is scheduled to be reopened by 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29.
During the ramp closure, motorists can access Valencia Road by exiting at Irvington Road (Exit 98) or at San Xavier Road (Exit 92).
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
