During its Regular Session on July 9, 2013, Mayor and Council unanimously approved nine refinements to the City’s Water Service Area Policy, including a new public and open process for how denials of water service can be appealed:
- Upon denial of a water service request, Tucson Water staff will inform the applicant of their right to appeal this decision.
- The applicant must then prepare a written communication and send that communication to:

If no response is received within 10 business days of submitting a request by mail, contact Tucson Water Intergovernmental Relations at 520-791-2666 for assistance.
- Tucson Water's Intergovernmental Relations division will schedule the public discussion and will inform the appellant of the date.
The public discussion will be scheduled no more than 30 days from the time the City of Tucson receives the written appeal.
